I’ve reformatted the player and transferred music, but now nothing plays?
Ensure the device was reformatted using the MSDOS-FAT format, not an Apple-specific format.
How many tunes can be uploaded?
The maximum capacity is 4GB.The number of songs depends on their length, but it’s best to keep the playlist between 25 to 40 songs. This limited, familiar selection is more comforting for people living with dementia.
Is it possible to change the order in which the songs play?
Songs will play in the order they are transferred to the device. For example, if transferring opera music, drag and drop the files in the desired sequence.
Is it possible to play songs in a "random" order?
The player does not have a shuffle feature. Research indicates that users with dementia respond more positively to a consistent and familiar song order. When the lid is closed and reopened, playback resumes from where it stopped, rather than starting
Dad/Mom can’t move their hands very much. Is there a way for them to use it?
Yes. The back panel includes two sockets that override the ON/OFF and NEXT TRACK buttons. Switches are available from occupational therapy suppliers. However, please note that using these requires a higher level of cognitive ability.
Can it use headphones?
There is a headphone socket located on the back of the unit, marked in light green. Plugging in headphones automatically disables the main speaker.
When using remote switches, the music stops when I press and only plays when I release — why?
This occurs if the lid is open. For external switches to function properly, the lid must be in the down position.
I don’t have files in MP3 format. What should I do?
The player supports various formats, including: .mp3, .m4a, .wma, .aac, and .wav.
Can I download music from Apple devices?
