If the alarm keeps ringing even after dispensing pills:

Try the following:

1. Remove the batteries for 1–2 hours. Use new batteries if possible.

2. If that does not work, when the alarm sounds, hold the Medelert upright in one hand and give it a sharp slap against your other hand, as if playing a tambourine. Try a firmer tap if the first attempt doesn’t work.

3. If the issue persists, please contact us — the device may be defective and eligible for exchange if still under warranty.
