What to Do if Favorite Channels Aren’t Working?Updated 2 months ago
If your favorite channels don’t seem to work properly when using the CH UP/DOWN buttons, don’t worry — there are a few quick things you can try to fix the issue:
Unlock and reset your remote:
- Hold ADD until the red light stays on.
- Enter 956 (unlock).
- The light will turn off.
- Then hold ADD again and enter 954 (reset).
- The light will turn off again.
Reprogram your TV and set-top box:
Programming your TV:
- Find the 4-digit code for your TV brand (included in the printed list in the box).
- Hold down the TV button until the red light stays on.
- Enter the 4-digit code.
- The light turns off.
- Test the Volume Up/Down, Mute, and Power buttons.
- If they don’t work, repeat the steps with the next code.
Programming your set-top box (cable/satellite):
- Find the 4-digit code for your box brand.
- Hold down the STB button until the red light stays on.
- Enter the 4-digit code.
- The light turns off.
- Test the Channel Up/Down buttons.
- If they don’t work, repeat with the next code.
Re-enter your favorite channels:
Delete any incorrect ones using STB + DEL.
- Hold STB and DEL until the light stays on.
- Enter the channel number and press DEL.
- Repeat as needed.
- Press STB to finish.
Add them again using STB + ADD.
- Write down the channels you want in order.
- Hold down STB and ADD together until the light stays on.
- Enter a channel number and press ADD (e.g., 2 + ADD).
- Repeat for each channel.
- Press STB to finish. The light will turn off.
Wait a moment: Sometimes it takes about 2 minutes for channels to fully configure after programming.
