If you are using a VTech phone with its built-in answering system (not voicemail services from your phone company like Bell), there are clear indicators to let you know when a new message has been received.
Visual and Audio Alerts
On the corded handset:
A light will flash next to the ON/OFF button at the top right of the device. In addition, the phone will emit a beep every 10 seconds to signal that a new message is waiting.
On the cordless handset:
The screen will display a message notification indicating that there is a voicemail.
